PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Played at Palomar Junior College in 2009... had 46 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, an interception, a fumble recovery and four pass breakups... his team was 10-3, reaching the Southern California championship and was ranked eighth nationally... named second-team All-Southern Conference... originally signed with the University of San Diego... played in seven games making six tackles as a true freshman.
   
A three-year starter at Oceanside High School... was League Defensive Player of the Year, first team All-League, first team All-County and first team All-CIF as a senior... team MVP as well... had 157 tackles on the season... his team was a three-time Division II state champion... also named San Diego County Academic Defensive Player of the Year... had 120 tackles as a junior.

Son of Malelega and Fegasoloai Segi... born April 20, 1990... has two brothers, Daniel and Tuvalu, and three sisters, Angel, Tina and Rachel... first member of his family to attend college... majoring in Political Science... participates in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and enjoys going to church.
