Another defensive player who competed as a true freshman... came in as a linebacker, but saw action at defensive end... will find a role and have a good future in the program.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2016
Forced into a role as a true freshman due to injuries and he responded... played in seven games, starting the season finale against nationally-ranked Eastern Washington (11/18)... had eight tackles in that game. 

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Played only one season of football at Los Osos High School… had 48 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks as a senior... named second team All-League... earned the Iron Man Award... a scholar-athlete... also lettered in basketball.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Anthony and Annabell Vega... has one sister, Sabrina... would like to major in Psychology... career goal is to work in law enforcement... hobbies include eating, going to the gym, going to the beach, and playing basketball.
