A walk-on to the program... earned time on special teams.. now has experience and lends depth at linebacker.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2021

Played in four games on special teams... played in the spring game in Montana... played on scout team in 2019. 

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Lettered in football, track and basketball at Gresham High School... earned first team All-Conference as a defensive lineman and second team as a tight end... competed in the Les Schwab Bowl All-Star game... All-Conference as a thrower on the track team... placed ninth in state in the discus.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Son of Judith and Matthew O’Connell... has two sisters, Madison and Jordan... majoring in Business Administration: Management and Leadership... hobby is working on his 1996 Ford Mustang... would like to be a business owner.
