PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Lettered three times in football at Grants Pass High School... a first-team All-Southwest Conference defensive back as a senior... had 33 tackles, two interceptions and six pass breakups... second team All-Conference as a junior... his team won the SWC in 2014... competed in the Les Schwab Bowl All-Star game, making five tackles and kicking a field goal... also lettered twice in basketball.

Son of Erin and Deonne Appling... has one brother, Javan... would like to get into Sports Medicine and become an athletic trainer... hobbies are spending time with family and friends, video games, working out, traveling and officiating youth football.
