Should become a bigger factor at defensive end... a good athlete who needs to stay healthy... opted out for the spring 2021 season. 

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2019

Played in eight games at backup defensive end... battled shoulder injuries during the season... made 10 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack... has a season-high three tackles at Idaho State (9/28) and against UC Davis (11/9)... played in two games in 2018, but maintained his redshirt status... was in on a sack in the win over Northern Colorado (10/13).

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Lettered three times in football and once in track at Chaminade Prep... had 106 tackles in 12 games as a junior, making 5.5 sacks, forcing two fumbles, recovering three fumbles and breaking up three passes... as a senior, he made 77 tackles in 10 games, with two sacks and four pass breakups... twice earned All-Mission League honors... a four-time scholar-athlete... also lettered in track.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Son of Rlynn Smith-Thomas and John Thomas... has one brother, John, and two sisters, Jocielynn and Jenesis... Civil Engineering major with a minor in Architecture... would like to play professional football as well as be an Architectural Engineer... hobbies include working out, sports medicine, autism care and religious retreats.
