Academic All-Big Sky Conference

Joined the program from Princeton in 2022... became the starting punter from day one... talented, intelligent player... should be poised for a strong senior season.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2022

Was the starting punter in all 11 games... averaged 40.6 yards on 54 punts... had a season-long of 59 yards and 10 punts in excess of 50 yards... 13 punts downed inside the 20 with only two touchbacks and 21 fair caught... also had one kickoff of 57 yards... earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference honors.

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Spent three seasons at Princeton... spent time as a kicker last season, making 2-3 field goals and 9-9 extra points... played in seven games in 2019, punting three times with an average of 36.3 yards per punt... was the starting punter in 2018 and averaged 37.4 yards per punt during Princeton’s first perfect season since 1964 … had season-best average of 46.2 yards per punt in Ivy-clinching win at Yale, including season-long punt of 66 yards.

Named to the Kohl’s Kicking High School All-America Team while at Elkins High School… selected to play in the 2018 Blue-Grey All-American Game… a three-time all-state and all-conference honoree … named the 2017 West Virginia Special Teams Player of the Year … achieved Top-15 national ranking by three ranking services, including #2 punter by Kornblue Kicking… averaged 39.8 yards per punt in his high school career; posted Top-10 national average in gross punting as a senior (46.0 yards) … also scored 176 career points as a kicker, including career long field goal of 45 yards… team captain … National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society member … student body president … raised nearly $3,000 for Kick-It For Kids Cancer charity.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Son of Jefferson and Silvia Triplett … has two younger sisters, Sofia and Alexandra … father played football at Navy and has several family members who played college football … enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling to Spain.
