One of a talented group of young defensive backs on the Viking roster... should compete for playing time in the coming season.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2023

Played in one game... a redshirt in 2022.

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Lettered three times in football and four times in track at Oaks Christian High School… in 13 games as a senior, had 71 tackles, nine interceptions, 10 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries… also returned kicks and played receiver… named first team All-Marmonte League and first team All-Ventura County… in track was a 300 meter hurdle champion… also competed in the national Junior Olympics.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Son of Edwin Gipson and Beverly Durham… has one sister, Elleah… majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice… would like to play professional football.
