Biography

The Coaching Staff says: “Eddie joined us this winter and has been hitting the ground running. He has the size and strength that will make him a dominant interior defensive lineman.”

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Spent the 2025 season at Akron as a redshirt… prior to that, he played two seasons at Reedley College, appearing in 18 games… had 38 tackles, including 14.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles… earned All-Valley Conference and second team All-American honors as a sophomore… made the Dean’s List both years at Reedley.
 
Played four seasons of football and three seasons of basketball at Dinuba High School… earned All-Conference, first team All-League and Defensive MVP as senior in football… also on Athlete of the Week honors.
 
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Maria and Gerardo Vega… has two brothers, Leo and Jerry… majoring in Communications.
