Should be a team leader and one of the best defensive backs in the Big Sky Conference this year... outstanding size, speed and skills and the potential to play on Sundays... so good that teams have made it a point to throw away from him, cutting down on his interception total... has 147 tackles, nine interceptions, four fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, 21 pass breakups in his career... has led the team in pass breakups the last three years... ranks tenth all-time in interceptions at Portland State... along with Braedyn Eagle leads all returners in career games (33) and the only Viking to start every game for three seasons... named preseason All-Big Sky Conference.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2010
Started all 11 games for the third straight year... moved to safety on occasion late in the season, starting the last two games at that position... named second team All-Big Sky Conference... selected by his teammates as the team’s Most Outstanding Defensive Back... had 51 tackles to rank fourth on the team... had team-highs of seven pass breakups and two fumble recoveries... made five tackles for loss and one sack... no interceptions, but didn’t see the ball thrown his way a lot... performed well against two Pac-10 opponents... made a career-high nine tackles with one for loss and a pass breakup at Oregon (9/11)...  made six tackles with two for losses and a sack at Arizona State (9/4)... made two fumble recoveries in the win at UC Davis (9/11)... had two other games with six tackles... named a team captain... an outstanding student who earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference.

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2009
For the second year in a row started all 11 games at cornerback and was chosen as his team’s Most Valuable Defensive Back... made 45 tackles with team-highs of three interceptions and seven pass breakups... ranked seventh on the team in tackles... also had a forced fumble and a fumble recovery... opposing teams threw away from him all season... made six tackles with a pass breakup and a 31-yard interception return for touchdown against Weber State (9/26)... made a career-high eight tackles against Eastern Washington (10/31)... had an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the win over Northern Colorado (10/10)... had six tackles and two pass breakups against Montana State (11/7).

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2008
Probably the breakthrough player of the year for the Vikings as he surprised by earning a starting cornerback spot in fall camp, then became one of the top players on defense... started all 11 games and made 51 tackles to rank sixth on the team... also had six interceptions, seven pass breakups, two tackles for loss, a forced fumble and fumble recovery... his six picks tied for sixth in the nation and led the Big Sky Conference... it was the most interceptions by a Viking since 1997... his seven total takeaways led the team... had a season-high six tackles in four different games... made five tackles, two interceptions and forced a fumble in the Vikings win over nationally-ranked Eastern Washington (10/4)... made six tackles, including two for loss, against top-10 ranked Montana (11/8)... made six tackles with an interception and three pass breakups at UC Davis (9/13)... named honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference... selected as the team’s Most Valuable Defensive Back... a redshirt in 2007.

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
A two-time All-Conference defensive back at Highland High School... also earned All-Conference as a wide receiver in 2006... 2006 National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete award winner... also ran track at Highland HS and plans to do so at Portland State... holds the school pole vault record.
