One of the most experienced players on team... has competed in 31 games at tight end, offensive line and as a long snapper... moving back to tight end for his senior season... earned the start at Montana in the spring... great size and feet... played on the Viking basketball team in 2019-20.
JUNIOR SEASON • 2019
Moved to offensive tackle in the off-season... started the first two games at right tackle and played in eight games overall... earned the Big Sky Conference Community Service Award for Portland State... named Academic All-Big Sky Conference for a third straight year.
SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2018
Played in all 11 games for the second straight season, but saw his role change... as backup long snapper, he had to take that role midway through game five when Riley Shackelford was injured... started there the rest of the season and performed well... in his first start at Montana (10/6) delivered the snap leading to the game-winning field goal in the final seconds... played a lot of downs at tight end through the first five games... did not have any receptions... earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference honors.
FRESHMAN SEASON • 2017
Played in all 11 games at tight end and on special teams... did not have a reception... named Academic All-Big Sky Conference... a redshirt in 2016.
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football four times and basketball three times at Big Valley Christian High School... an All-Conference and All-Region tight end as a senior... All-Conference tight end and defensive end as a junior... was Team MVP both seasons... a four-year scholar-athlete.

Son of Tim and Kris Giannosa... has a brother, Tim... History major... very involved in his church in his spare time.... studying Non-Profit Leadership.Â
