Trevor Gentry joins the Portland State football staff this season as Defensive Quality Control Coach.
Gentry coached football at the high school level for the past 13 years at River Ridge High School (2001-08) and North Thurston High School (2009-13).
A native of Salem, Gentry graduated from North Salem High School where he competed in football and track. He was an All-League running back and All-State sprinter. Gentry played football and ran track at Western Oregon, earning his degree in 2000.
Gentry's brother, John, played cornerback at Portland State (1991-94) and also ran on the Viking track team. Gentry and his wife, Lacey, live in Vancouver and have a daughter, Aubriele.
