Portland State Football Coach Chris Fisk has named Nick Kernaghan as a Defensive Quality Control Coach for the Vikings program. He will assist with coaching the defensive line.
Kernaghan comes to PSU after three seasons at Linfield where he coached linebackers.
“Nick is a fantastic young defensive line coach who is starting out his career,” said Fisk. “He has been around some really good programs as a young coach and we are excited to welcome him to Portland State.”
Kernaghan is a 2021 graduate of Southern Oregon. He spent five seasons in the program and was a member of the 2017 Frontier Conference Championship team, and as a senior was a team captain and named the team’s Most inspirational Player. Following graduation, Kernaghan spent the 2022 season as the Raiders Defensive Line Coach.
