Jon Eagle

Coach Bruce Barnum made a significant hire in the offseason, adding Jon Eagle to his coaching staff as quarterbacks coach and assistant head coach.

Eagle, who has spent the last 13 seasons across the river at Camas (WA) High School, turned the Papermakers into a juggernaut, compiling a 127-22 record and two state titles in the last five seasons in the state’s largest class. He led the Papermakers to 4A state titles in 2016 and 2019 and a runner-up finish in 2013. Camas to nine Greater St. Helens League titles under his guidance, two at 3A and seven at 4A. His teams reached at least the state semifinals five times.

A master at developing talent, Eagle sent 16 players to Division I since 2012, including 10 in the last three seasons. In 29 seasons as a head coach at three schools, his record is 229-70.

A 40-year veteran of high school coaching, Eagle has been the Head Coach at Camas, Evergreen and Redmond High Schools in Washington. Eagle went 84-38 in 13 seasons at Evergreen from 1988 to 2000, 18-10 in three seasons at Redmond from 2001-03. Eagle joined Camas as an assistant coach in 2004 as an assistant under Bob Holman before taking over as head coach in 2008.
