Portland State University Athletics

Jason Diffee begins his sixth year at Portland State. He spent two years as a student assistant before earning his degree from PSU in 2017. He worked under Nick Whitworth, coaching special teams for his first three seasons at PSU. 

Diffee has also coached running backs in his tenure at Portland State.

He has developed junior Cody Williams, already a holder of numerous Portland State kicking records, to a pair of All-Conference honors. Punter Seth Vernon also came on for one of the best seasons at the position for a Viking in 2019. Both return in 2020.

Diffee competed as a long snapper at Central Washington University. He was recruited by, and played for, Whitworth when he was at Central Washington. Diffee competed from 2013-15 at CWU, including two years under Whitworth and PSU Defensive Coordinator Payam Saadat. Following his playing career, he served as a student assistant at Central Washington before coming to Portland State.

From Bakersfield, CA, Diffee played his first collegiate season at College of the Sequoias.
