Colby Davies brings a very successful high school coaching experience to his role at Portland State. Davies will work in offensive quality control and with Viking tight ends.
Davies was previously the head coach in his hometown at Steilacoom High School in Washington where he compiled a 33-7 record in four seasons. Steilacoom reached its first-ever Washington 2A state championship game in 2019 under Davies’ leadership. Overall, the Sentinels made four playoff appearances and won three league titles under Davies.
Prior to becoming head coach at Steilacoom, Davies spent one year as head coach at King’s Way Christian (WA) in 2016. The team went 7-3 under his leadership. Davies was an assistant coach at Steilacoom from 2011-15.
A graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Davies played four seasons as a safety for the Lutes and earned a degree in Exercise Science.
