Adam Kleffner returned to Portland State in 2016 to work as a graduate assistant with the football program. After a four-year playing career, Kleffner spent two seasons as a quality control coach. He was then away from the program working in business.
Kleffner worked with tight ends in 2016, leading Maximo Espitia to All-Big Sky Conference recognition. He also worked with the development of young tight ends Cole Ford, Charlie Taumoepeau and Daniel Giannosa.
In 2017, Kleffner will take over coaching the offensive line, traditionally one of the strongest positions on the team.
Kleffner earned a degree in Business Management at Portland State. He lettered four years (2008-11) and made 20 career starts on the offensive line with the Vikings, including most of his final two seasons. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree.
