A big addition to the team last season... originally played wide receiver, but the Vikings had a greater need at cornerback... he started all seven games he played there... great size and speed... should play at an All-Conference level as a senior.
JUNIOR SEASON • 2016
Transferred from Oregon to Portland State prior to the first game, so he did not compete until week two... started as a wide receiver the next two weeks, making three receptions for 66 yards, one rush for one yard and one kick return for 34 yards... moved over to cornerback, his position at Oregon, when the Vikings suffered several injuries on defense... he was comfortable there from the start... in seven starts at CB had 28 tackles, eight pass breakups and two interceptions... had a season-high eight tackles at Southern Utah (9/24)... made six tackles with three pass breakups in a win over Idaho State (10/1)... had interceptions at Weber State (10/8) and Sacramento State (11/12)... missed one game with a shin injury.
PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in 2014 and 2015 for the Ducks at defensive back... played in 20 total games at Oregon... started three games in 2014, including the Rose Bowl and National Championship... had 55 total tackles, including seven against Ohio State... also had four pass breakups, an interception and a forced fumble over that span... was a redshirt in 2013.
Was a star wide receiver and safety at American Canyon High School... as a senior had 92 tackles, 10 pass breakups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles... also caught 28 passes for 609 yards and 11 touchdowns... rushed six times for 93 yards and a score... also served as the team punter (41.4)... twice named MVP of his team and named Vallejo Times Herald Defensive Player of the Year... made 26 catches for 756 yards and nine TDs as a junior... added 73 tackles and four interceptions... also played basketball, baseball and ran track... reached the state final in the 4x100 meters.
