Lettered in football at West Salem High School... earned first team All-Great Valley Conference honors and was the Greater Valley Conference Player of the Year as a senior... was the Statesman Journal All-Mid-Valley Player of the Year... second team All-State... led his team to the semifinals of the state playoffs... completed 131-213 passes for school records of 2,437 yards and 32 touchdowns with only six interceptions... also rushed for 1,208 yards and 18 touchdowns on 164 carries... for his career passed for 5,775 yards and 73 touchdowns with 16 interceptions... rushed for 2,671 yards and 42 touchdowns, setting school record in each category... also first team All-League as a junior... two-time academic all-league honors.

Son of Kevin and Kimi Smith... has two brothers, Kyle and Brett and one sister, Ellie... majoring in Exercise Science... hobbies include fishing and working in his grandfather’s vineyard... active in Salem Alliance Church... his brother Brett played quarterback at Wyoming and signed free contracts with Tampa Bay (2014) and the Toronto Argonauts (2015).
