Lettered three times each in football and basketball at La Grande High School... league Player of the Year, 1st team All-League and second team All-State as a senior... two-time team MVP... league champion his senior season, setting school records for passing yards and touchdowns... league Player of the Year and second team All-State in basketball... three-time first team All-League.. also a two-time team MVP... led team in scoring three straight years... team won two league championships.
