Biography

Suffered an unfortunate knee injury in spring football and missed the 2019 season... an intriguing prospect from a small school with great athletic skills... played in the spring game at Montana, rushing three times for five yards.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2018

Saw some action on special teams, kick returns and briefly at wide receiver... moved to wide receiver from running back prior to the season... competed in five games... returned one kick for 15 yards... also had one tackle... a redshirt in 2017. 

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Lettered in football, basketball and track at Kennedy High School... finished his senior season with 34 touchdowns and 2,217 rushing yards and 272 receiving yards... had a 353-yard rushing game to set a school record... was the Oregon 2A Offensive Player of the Year and Tri-River Offensive Player of the Year... three-time first team All-Tri-River League, two-time league Offensive Player of the Year and two-time first team All-State running back... became the first player ever from the 2A level in Oregon to be selected to compete in the Les Schwab Bowl All-Star game... for his career, totaled 4,797 rushing yards and 74 touchdowns... also had 15 career interceptions... was third team All-State in basketball... won the state championship in the long jump as a senior... placed second in state in the long jump, 4x100 and 200 meters as a junior... honor roll student.

Son of Rebecca Bernard and Johnathan Mitchell... has one sister, Ava... majoring in Sociology... hobbies are music and working out.
