The Vikings top returner on defense... named preseason All-American by Athlon Sports and Hero Sports... selected preseason All-Big Sky Conference by league media... has become a playmaker in the defensive backfield... started all 23 games of his career going into 2020... already ranks among the all-time leaders in pass breakups at PSU with 26... also has six career interceptions and 104 tackles in two seasons... expected to be the team leader on defense for the next two years... a team captain.
SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2019
Proved to be even better than expected... started all 12 games, 11 at strong safety and one at free safety, and led the nation in passes defensed with 24... had a school-record 19 pass breakups and five interceptions, both of which led the Big Sky Conference... ranked 13th in the nation in interceptions... added 56 tackles, two tackles for loss and a blocked kick... in eight league games had 44 tackles, two tackles for loss, 11 breakups and five interceptions... named first team All-American by Associated Press, STATS and Walter Camp... Hero Sports Sophomore All-American... earned first team All-Big Sky Conference... was one of 26 players in the nation on the ballot for the Buck Buchanan Award for National Defensive Player of the Year... finished 12th in the balloting... also earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference... best game was five tackles, two interceptions and two pass breakups in a shutout win over Idaho (10/12)... had a career-high 10 tackles with three pass breakups at Northern Arizona (10/26)... made six tackles, one for loss, two breakups and an interceptions against UC Davis (11/9)... selected as a team captain.
FRESHMAN SEASON • 2018
Became a big part of the Viking defense, starting all 11 games... moved into the role of strong safety and was a playmaker... ranked fifth on the team with 48 tackles... also had 6.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery for touchdown, an interception and a team-high seven pass breakups... led the team in tackles twice... made three tackles, one for a loss and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in a win over College of Idaho (9/15)... had a season-high eight tackles and a pass breakup in the win at Montana (10/6)... had four tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, an interception and a pass breakup in a win over Northern Colorado (10/13)... a team-high seven tackles, one for loss and a pass breakup against Eastern Washington (11/16)... named Academic All-Big Sky Conference.
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Has lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track at Newberg High School... named Oregon 6A first team All-State and Three Rivers League Defensive Player of the Year as a defensive back… named first team All-League for three seasons... also played quarterback and earned first team All-League honors twice… rushed 136 times for 1,037 yards and 10 touchdowns… ranked as the ninth-best prospect in the state of Oregon by Battle Prep West... team captain for three seasons... competed in the Les Schwab Bowl All-Star game, making six tackles... also earned All-League honors twice in baseball... was first team All-State in track in the 400 meters as a junior.

Son of Susan and Larry Adams... has two sisters, Tanya and Maya, and one brother, Darnell... majoring in Applied Health and Fitness, with a minor in Biology... would like to become a personal trainer... brother Darnell was a wide receiver on the Viking football team, 2012-17.
