HM All-Big Sky Conference
Took over as the signal caller, beating out a talented group of quarterbacks after transferring in from Snow JC... proved to be a leader right away and was named a team co-captain... couldn’t have had a much better first season, leading PSU to its best Division I season ever... not physically imposing, but has an uncanny ability to keep a play alive.
JUNIOR SEASON • 2015
A remarkable first season, leading PSU to its best Division I season, including wins over FBS programs Washington State and North Texas, and five wins over nationally-ranked opponents... named Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year and honorable mention All-Big Sky... completed 123 of 226 passes for 1,975 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions... ranked second on the team in rushing with 158 carries for 755 yards and seven touchdowns... also caught one pass for 25 yards, and caught one pass for a two-point conversion... ranked 16th in the nation in pass efficiency (146.2), fourth in yards per completion (16.00) and ninth in yards per attempt (8.71)... was sixth in the Big Sky Conference in total offense (226.9)... completed 11-19 passes for season-highs of 269 yards and three touchdowns in the win at North Texas (10/10)... was 10-14 for 217 yards and one touchdown, and rushed 13 times for 51 yards and a score in the win over Montana State (10/17)... completed 16-25 passes for 232 yards and two TDs while rushing 18 times for 101 yards and two TDs - and had a two-point conversion reception - in the come-from-behind win at Cal Poly (10/24)... had a season-high 119 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries against Montana... led PSU to 419.6 yards of offense at 34.2 points per game for the season.
PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Spent 2014 at Snow Junior College where he started at quarterback... completed 185-295 passes for 2,374 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions, leading his team to an 8-2 record... was also the team’s leading rusher with 99 carries for 592 yards and eight touchdowns.
Originally signed with BYU where he attended two years... was a redshirt in 2011, then competed in 2012 as a receiver... played in 10 games, catching four passes for 51 yards and returning one punt five yards.
Attended Mountain Crest High School where he was the Utah Gatorade Player of the Year and the Deseret News Mr. Football in 2010... earned first team Utah 4A All-State... threw for 3,983 yards and 38 touchdowns as a senior... set numerous state quarterbacking records, including total offense (12,917), passing yards (10,951), passing touchdowns (101), completions (751) and attempts (1,154)... led his team to three straight state semifinals, then the championship game as a senior, losing in double-overtime... Region 5 MVP in 2009 and 2010... also lettered twice each in basketball and track.

He and wife Madison have one child, a daughter named Kalisi Mei (1)... son of David and Susanne Kuresa... brother Jake played football at BYU... majoring in Exercise Science.
