Has become one of the top players on the team... should have a standout senior year as he and Mitch Gaulke lead the offensive line... has become the dominant player expected due to his size, strength and frame... still has room to grow his game... outstanding athlete who played several positions in high school.
JUNIOR SEASON • 2012
Started 10 of 11 games at right tackle, missing one due to illness... blocked for an offense that averaged 438.7 yards and 34.8 points per game and allowed only seven sacks all season, ranking fourth in the nation... earned honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference... selected by his team as the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman.
SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2011
Took the starting role at right tackle early in fall camp and never looked back... had an excellent season, blocking for the Big Sky’s best rushing offense and helping the team set a school record (2,726) for yards rushing... along with Kyle Ritt and Mitch Gaulke started every game on the offensive line.
FRESHMAN SEASON • 2010
Played in three games as a backup lineman... a redshirt in 2009.
PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
A three-time letterwinner in football and track... earned All-League two seasons in football and named All-County as a senior... his team won two league championships in football and two in track... played tight end as a freshman, sophomore and junior; defensive end as a junior and senior; right tackle as a senior... threw the discus and shot put in track.

Son of Mark and Elizabeth Van Dyk... born January 2, 1991... has three brothers, Chris, Mark and Matthew... majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice... would like to become a detective... hobbies are hiking, the outdoors and weightlifting... has been involved in the National Society of High School Scholars and the Children’s Miracle Network.
