Became a team leader and captain as he took over the starting center job last season... a veteran player who will be vital to team’s success in 2011.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2010
Took over the starting center role in preseason camp and never gave it back... competed in all 11 games... selected by his teammates as the Most Inspirational Player on the team... part of an offensive line that blocked for the Big Sky Conference’s top rushing team (203.3 pg), coming just a few yards short of a school record (2,236)... earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference honors.

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2009
Played in three games as a backup... was a starter at guard against Montana (9/19).

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2008
Played in seven games as a backup lineman and on special teams... a redshirt in 2007.

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Was a first-team All-Metro and All-State offensive lineman for the state champion Jesuit Crusaders in 2006... earned second-team All-Metro League as a junior as Jesuit was also the state champion... a three-year starter at center, he has also lettered in track as a shotputter.

Son of Mary Kleffner... born September 28, 1988... has one brother, Jacob... majoring in Business... hobbies are vdieo games, movies, swimming, lifting weights, miniature golf, recreational basketball and hanging out with friends.
