Has become one of the better defensive backs in the Big Sky Conference... most experienced player among the returners with 32 games played and 27 starts... has 110 career tackles and 11 pass breakups... should be a leader on defense his senior season.
JUNIOR SEASON • 2013
Started all 12 games for the second year in a row... did so despite an elbow injury most of the season... had 53 tackles, seven pass breakups, an interception and a tackle for loss during the season... also had six kick returns for 113 yards... made a career-high 11 tackles and had two pass breakups against Northern Arizona (10/18)... made eight tackles in the season-opener against Oregon State (8/30)... also had five kick returns for 94 yards... intercepted All-American Vernon Adams Jr. in the season finale against fifth-ranked Eastern Washington (11/21)... named second team All-Big Sky Conference.
SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2013
One of only three defensive players to start every game... a solid performer that opponents stayed away from... had 42 tackles to rank sixth on the team... added 1.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, a fumble recovery and an interception... returned an interception 64 yards for a touchdown in the season-opening win over Eastern Oregon (8/29)... had a career-high six tackles at Montana (10/5)... made five tackles and a fumble recovery in the win over Weber State (11/2)... also had five stops in the win at Idaho State (11/9)... earned honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference.
FRESHMAN SEASON • 2012
Initially appeared he would redshirt, but entered the fray in game four against Southern Utah after Aaron Kincy was injured... ended up playing the last eight games, starting three... finished the year with 15 tackles, one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery... had four tackles in his initial start against Southern Utah (9/22)... recovered a fumble in the win over Idaho State (10/6)... had four tackles, including one for loss, against fifth-ranked Eastern Washington (11/17).
PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football and track four times each at Stone Mountain High School... earned All-Region honors three times... named All-Area and County Defensive Player of the Year... played in the Decatur All-Star Game... placed second in the region in the 400 meters... a two-year member of the honor roll... also earned the Hope Club Award as a special needs helper.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Derek Sibley... plans to major in Psychology... has two brothers, Derek and Andrew, and one sister, Canzella... hobbies are reading, youth leadership, youth ministry and church... would like to become a physical therapist.
