2012 Honors
    Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention

    A tough player who will anchor the linebacker group in 2013... should be a leader on defense and the team... among returning players, he leads the team in tackles (141) and tackles for loss (15.5)... should be an All-Conference candidate.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2012
    Came back strong from injury after missing almost a season and a half with a broken leg... started all 10 games he played, missing the season finale with injury... ranked second on the team with 79 tackes... led the Vikings with 12 tackles for loss... also had two sacks, an interception return for touchdown and three quarterback hurries... led the team in tackles in three games and had two double-figure tackles games... made seven tackles and returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown in his first game back against Carroll (9/1)... posted a career-high 17 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss against nationally-ranked Cal Poly... the 17 stops ties for eighth-most in a game in school history... also had 10 tackles at Northern Arizona (9/29)... made nine tackles with a sack in the win at UC Davis (10/27)... a redshirt in 2011.

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2010
    A promising season came to an early end when he suffered a broken leg in game six against Montana (10/16)... was playing well up to that point and had made his first start of the year in that game... in six games played had 23 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two pass breakups... had tied a career-high with nine tackles against the Grizzlies when he was injured... also had 1.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a pass breakup in that game... had five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against Oregon (9/18).

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2009
    Saw a lot of action as a true freshman, playing in 10 games and starting three of the last four... made 39 tackles to rank ninth on the team... made six tackles in his first collegiate game against Oregon State (9/5)... had seven tackles at UC Davis (10/24)... led the team with nine tackles against Montana State (11/7)... one of 15 true freshmen to play and 10 to start during the season... graduated early from high school and entered school in time to compete in 2009 spring football.

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
    An outstanding player at Casa Roble High School where he earned three letters in football and basketball... named Defensive Player of the Year by the Sacramento Bee... earned first team All-State, All-Metro and All-League honors... was the league defensive MVP... had 169 tackles, eight fumble recoveries, three sacks, two interceptions and a blocked kick... also scored three touchdowns as a short-yardage runner... team captain and team defensive MVP two years in a row... .. also earned All-League as a junior... Casa Roble had a record of 23-1 over his last two seasons, including 13-0 as a senior... four-time league champions and 39-5 overall.

    Son of Debbie and Ronald Shoemaker... born January 12, 1991... one of 11 children, he has four brothers, Jeremy, Joey, Randall and Chadd, and six sisters, Ronna, Sandy, Nicole, Leesha, Sierra and Mandy... majoring in Physical Activity and Exercise... hobbies are fishing, ping-pong, water sports and weight lifting.
