BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Played at Delaware State the past four years... a starter for three seasons... played in five games this past spring, making 20 tackles with two tackles for loss and a sack... played in 11 games in 2019... was seventh on the team with 38 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a pass breakup... as a sophomore was sixth on the team with 46 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss, blocked two kicks and had a fumble recovery... sixth on the team with 34 tackles as a freshman... added 4.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and two pass breakups.

At Lincoln High School he was named first team All-League, second team All-Section as a senior... made 60 tackles in eight games.

Son of Scherezada Hernandez and Lorenzo Bess... has five brothers, Andrew, Lorenzo, Brian, Lucas and AJ, and three sisters, Madeline, Erika and Angelica... majored in Criminal Justice... hobbies are weight lifting, playing Madden and going to the movies... would like play professionally or have a career in Criminal Justice.
