JUNIOR SEASON • 2019

Became a key figure on the defense as the starting whip linebacker... played in all 12 games, starting 10... made 36 tackles to rank sixth on the team... added seven tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble... made a season-high seven tackles at Idaho State (9/28)... had five tackles and two tackles for loss at Eastern Washington (11/23).

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2018

Played in nine games as a backup at linebacker and on special teams... missed one game with team suspension and one game with injury... had seven total tackles on the season... had a season-high three stops in a win over College of Idaho (9/15). 

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2017

After watching for the first three games, played in the final eight and started the last six games at outside linebacker... despite playing in only eight games, ranked ninth on the team with 38 tackles... also had 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack and a pass breakup... in his first start against Northern Arizona (10/14) made four tackles, two for losses and a sack... had a season-high eight stops in the finale against Eastern Washington (11/18)... totaled seven solo tackles and a pass breakup at Cal Poly (11/4).

BEFORE PORTLAND STATE

Lettered in football and basketball at Springfield High School... Earned first team All-State as a linebacker three times… twice named Midwestern League Player of the Year… earned All-League honors on offense as a wide receiver, tight end and quarterback during his career... had 1,450 rushing yards and 950 passing yards as a senior... team won the league title in 2014 finishing third in state... first team All-League and All-State as a guard on the basketball team four times... three-time Midwestern League Player of the Year... team won the league title in 2015 and placed fourth in state... earned All-Academic honors as a junior and senior.

Son of Margie Ah Sam... has two brothers, Thamadi and Daysean, and four sisters, Honey, Jeana, Tuana and Yai Yah... majoring in Business Administration: Management and Leadership... hobbies are fishing, camping and helping out young athletes... considering starting his own business in sports and working as an FBI agent.
