Lettered in basketball four seasons at South Salem High School, starting every games... a three-time first team All-Greater Valley Conference selection... was Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year as a senior... named to the All-State Tournament team... averaged 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 2.8 steals per game... averaged 22.3 points, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game as a junior... during his sophomore season led South Salem to a third-place finish in the Oregon 6A State Tournament while averaging 18.7 points per game.
