Played three years at Castle Park High School in San Diego, then his senior season at Hightower High School in Fresno, TX... as a senior at Hightower, registered 21 receptions, 303 receiving yards and 5 TDs despite missing four games with injury... was ranked 90th at the wide receiver position by ESPN.com... two-time first-team All-South Bay League at Castle Park... was league Offensive MVP... an ESPN Under Armour All-American... in three years, he totaled 126 catches for 1,976 yards and 30 touchdowns... also had two blocked punts, two blocked field goals, one kickoff return for TD and two touchdowns off fake field goal attempts... defensively, as a safety at Castle Rock, totaled 122 tackles, five interceptions and nine pass breakups... was also a talented basketball player, earning first-team All-South Bay League honors for Castle Rock in 2006... averaged 23 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and three steals... also had a 53-point game... also lettered in baseball.

Son of Martin and Babette Bayless... born November 23, 1989... has two sisters, Britton and Teniesha... majoring in Black Studies... his father, Martin Sr., played 13 years in the NFL as a safety for the San Diego Chargers... cousin of Charles Woodson.. also had two uncles that played in the NFL... works at his father’s football camp every year (now in its 23rd season).
