Competed for the Vikings in the 4x400-meter and distance medley relay at the Big Sky Championships (2/23-25)...Placed 12th with the Vikings’ DMR team with their time of 10:57.64...Set a new personal best in the 400 meters at the Idaho Duals (2/3), finishing in 51.14 seconds...Part of the Vikings’ 4x400-meter relay that moved up to ninth all-time at PSU with its time of 3:20.17 at the UW Invitational (1/27-28)...Made his PSU debut at the UW Indoor Preview (1/14), competing in the 400 meters, 60-meter hurdles and 4x400-meter relay.
 
EVERGREEN HIGH SCHOOL/MCNARY HIGH SCHOOL:
Won the pentathlon at Evergreen High School while setting a school record in the event…Named the Kalama Twilight MVP while at Evergreen in 2016…Named Evergreen High School’s MVP in 2016…Named his track team’s most inspirational athlete while at McNary in 2015 and Evergreen in 2016…Competed in basketball and track while at McNary and Evergreen.

Son of Moni Simmaphilavong…Has three brothers, Shawn Johnson, Christian Johnson and Keenan Woods; and four sisters, Jazzlyn Wilder, Maiah Wilder, Zoe Wilder and Quinci Wilder…Lists his faith, basketball, writing and community service as hobbies/interests…Hopes to either own a clothing store or become a journalist while also coaching high school track in his career…Plans on majoring in communications with a minor in business.
