Became the Vikings primary offensive weapon... great hands and route runner... a tight end, but often splits wide due to his size and ability to run... the only thing to slow him down the past two seasons was an injury... has 73 catches, 1,253 yards and eight TDs in his last 20 games... with 81 receptions, 1,402 yards in his career is the top returning receiver on the team... named first team Preseason All-America by Hero Sports and Athlon Sports heading into his senior year.
JUNIOR SEASON • 2018
Named Preseason All-Big Sky Conference and Stats FCS Preseason All-American...lived up to the billing, making eight receptions for 255 yards and four touchdowns against a pair of FBS programs, Nevada and Oregon, in the first two weeks... was leading the nation in touchdowns (5) and yards per catch (36.2) after three weeks... had TD catches of 75, 71 and 71 yards over those three games... a midseason ankle injury cost him two-and-a-half games and slowed him a bit upon return... still finished the year with 28 receptions for 580 yards and five touchdowns to lead the team... averaged 20.7 yards per catch to rank sixth in the nation, first among tight ends... made eight receptions for 78 yards in the season finale against Eastern Washington (11/16)... now has receptions in his last 23 games played... despite the injury, still named first team All-Big Sky Conference and second team All-American by STATS Inc., Hero Sports and Phil Steele.
SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2017
A real breakout season at tight end... played in all 11 games, starting nine... had 45 receptions for 673 yards and three touchdowns... named second team All-Big Sky Conference... it was the most catches by a Viking tight end since Barry Naone in 1988... had a knack for big plays as his first 13 catches and 37 of his 45 catches were for first downs... went for career-highs of nine receptions and 145 yards with one touchdown at Eastern Washington (11/18)... had five catches for 92 yards and two TDs at Montana State (10/7).
FRESHMAN SEASON • 2016
Played in all 11 games as a true freshman... his role grew as the season progressed... caught eight passes for 149 yards and a touchdown... had an 18.6 average per catch... best game was two catches for 71 yards against nationally-ranked Eastern Washington (11/18)... caught a 25-yard touchdown pass against nationally-ranked Cal Poly (10/15)... signed with the Vikings in 2015... did not enter school until 2016.
