Should play a larger role at linebacker this season and possibly start... a transfer from the University of Wyoming.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2014
Competed in 10 games as a backup linebacker and on special teams... missed two games with injury... had 18 tackles, one tackle for loss and two pass breakups on the season... best game was six tackles, one for loss, and a pass breakup in a win over UC Davis (10/4)... also had five tackles at Cal Poly (9/20).

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Played two seasons at the University of Wyoming… was a redshirt in 2011… competed in 11 games in 2012, making seven tackles… played in seven games in 2013 and recorded no tackles.

Lettered in football four times, basketball three times and track twice at Edmonds Woodway HS… named first team All-WESCO league as a linebacker and a running back as a senior… had 50 tackles, 2.5 sacks, an interception and two fumble recoveries - one for a touchdown - as a senior…. carried the ball 195 times for 1,440 yards and 22 touchdowns… also caught nine passes for 111 yards and a score… also completed a 29-yard pass for a touchdown… a two-time Seattle Seahawks/US Army Player of the Week... named second team All-WESCO league as a junior… had 71 tackles, four sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery… rushed for 650 yards on 103 carries and 10 touchdowns… caught six passes for 167 yards and a TD… also a punter and kickoff specialist… had 58 tackles and 159 rushing yards as a sophomore… on the basketball team, he averaged 15.4 points per game as a senior earning All-WESCO South Division honors… a team captain in both sports... a member of the two-time State Champion track team.

Son of Teressa and Dan Berg… has a sister, K.C….both parents were collegiate athletes at Concordia in Portland… majoring in Communications... hobbies are snowboarding and shooting.
