Burst onto the scene after originally walking on to the program and redshirting... earned a starting role and became the top receiver on the team... good size, good hands and elusive enough to always seem open. 

JUNIOR SEASON • 2013
Started all 12 games and became the Vikings’ top receiver... had one of the best receiving seasons in school history with 63 catches for 1,167 yards and eight touchdowns... ranked fourth in the Big Sky in receiving yards per game and 12th in the nation... third-most receiving yards in a season in school history... averaged 18.5 yards per catch... had two games of 10 or more receptions and four games of more than 100 yards... led the team in receptions nine times and receiving yards eight times... selected as third team All-Big Sky Conference...break-out game was at California (9/7) with five receptions for 160 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown... followed that with 10 catches for 205 yards and a score against Humboldt State (9/14)... made four receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns in a win at UC Davis (9/21)... ended year with 11 catches for 191 yards and three touchdowns at third-ranked Eastern Washington (11/23)... named as his team’s Most Improved Player... a redshirt in 2012.

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Played two seasons at Saddleback Junior College... had 37 receptions for 519 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore... twice selected as the Player of the Week.

Lettered three times in football and basketball at Lake Oswego High School... led his team in receptions as a receiver and interceptions as a defensive back... played in the 2009 state championship game, catching eight passes for 96 yards... three-year honor roll student.

Son of Rob and Deb Closs... born April 7, 1992... Business major... hobbies are lifting weights, eating, sleeping, and playing basketball... would like to work for Nike or as a financial planner... his father, Rob, played basketball and baseball at the University of Oregon.
