Will try to expand his role as a wide receiver in 2015... a well thought-of receiver who should have a good future at Portland State. 

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2014
Competed mainly on special teams in his first season, getting into seven games... played a few downs, but did not have a reception... returned four kickoffs for 68 yards and made one tackle... a redshirt in 2013.

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
A four-year letterwinner in football for former Viking assistant coach Frank Geske... was a first team All-State wide receiver as a sophomore, then a first team All-State defensive back as a junior and senior... second team All-State running back in 2012 after switching to the position midway through the season... rushed for 927 yards and 10 touchdowns and caught 36 passes for 513 yards and seven scores.... named the Midwestern League Offensive Player of the Year in 2012... named the Midwestern League Defensive Player of the Year in 2011... played on Marist’s state champion team as a freshman in 2009... also a talented track athlete... was the Oregon 5A long jump state champion as a junior with a distance of 23’6”.... was second in state in the triple jump with 45’2”.

Son of Jeff and Sue Baird... has one brother, AJ... would like to major in Physical Therapy or Business.
