2015 Honors
HM All-Big Sky Conference
Was given a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA due to missing two full seasons with injury... missed all of 2014 with a knee injury after being the top safety during preseason camp... came back strong to earn the starting role in 2015... should be a leader on defense this season.
JUNIOR SEASON • 2015
Earned the starting role he expected to have in 2014 before an injury knocked him out... started all 12 games and was a vital cog in the Vikings’ vastly improved defense... made 33 tackles, one tackle for loss, eight pass breakups and one fumble recovery... had a career-high five tackles and a pass breakup in the win at Cal Poly (10/24)... matched that with five tackles in the win at Eastern Washington (11/21)... made two tackles, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery against North Dakota (10/3)... earned honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference.
SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2013
Finally got on the field and became a contributor at safety and on special teams... played in all 12 games, making 18 tackles and forcing two fumbles... had a season-high four tackles at UC Davis (9/21)... had three tackles and a forced fumble in the season-opening win over Eastern Oregon (8/29)... member of the 2011 signing class, he redshirted the 2011 season, then sat out in 2012 due to injury.
PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Earned All-ILH and All-State honors as a defensive back... named Team Defensive MVP... a member of the 2009 state championship team.

Son of Walter and Kehau Santiago... has three sisters, Tatiana, Zoey and Keenya... majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice... hobbies are surfing, the beach, hanging out with family and friends and working out.
