Biography

Took over at right tackle behind the departure of an All-American (Mitch Van Dyk) and performed very well... a good athlete who is a little undersized but gets the job done.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2014
Earned the job as the starting right tackle and had a strong season... played in 12 games, starting 11... part of a line that allowed a league-low 10 sacks while throwing the ball 423 times... also blocked for a running game that totaled 2,500 yards (208.3 per game).

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2013
Competed in nine games... played as a backup offensive tackle, on special teams and in special offensive formations.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2012
Moved over to offensive line during fall camp after coming to PSU as a defensive lineman... played in two games as a backup right tackle... a redshirt in 2011.

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Had 42 tackles as a senior at Chico High School... named Most Valuable Lineman... also lettered in wrestling and baseball... a 2009 Sectional wrestling champion.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Elizabeth and Thomas Hoy... has one sister, Bailey... majoring in Physical Activity and Exercise... would like to become a fireman.
