Took over as a full-time starter in 2008 and has started 22 straight games entering his senior season... along with tight end Rory Richards, he leads the team in career games played (33)...  a big, strong man who has gotten fitter, which has improved his play.... has the motor needed for his position... will move from end to defensive tackle as the Vikings move to a 4-3 scheme in 2010.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2009
Started all 11 games at defensive end for the second year in a row... had a career-high 29 tackles, six tackles for loss and three sacks on the season... ranked 10th on the team in total tackles... also blocked a field goal against Southern Oregon (9/12)... made a career-high six tackles with a sack against Montana State (11/7)... had sacks in three of the last four games of the season.

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2008
Started all 11 games at defensive end and was named the team’s co-Most Valuable Lineman along with Joe Ma’aseia... made 19 tackles, five tackles for loss and three sacks on the season... also blocked one extra point against Montana... had a season-high three tackles on three occasions.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2007
Played in all 11 games as a backup... made eight tackles and one sack on the season... made a season-high three tackles at McNeese State (9/1)... had his only sack of the year against Montana State (11/10)... was a redshirt in 2006.

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football, track and wrestling at Thurston High School... named first team All-Midwestern League on both the offensive and defensive line... honorable mention All-State... his team reached the 4A State quarterfinals in 2005... competed in the Les Schwab All-Star Game.
