Made the transition to tight end in 2009, a position he played in high school... had played at linebacker in previous seasons... along with DE Travis Beckley, leads the team in games played (33) entering the 2010 season.

JUNIOR SEASON • 2009
 Moved to tight end and played in all 11 games... had one reception for six yards against Sacramento State (10/3)... mainly provided a blocking role in the Viking offense... also played some on special teams making a tackle... named Academic All-Big Sky Conference.

SOPHOMORE SEASON • 2008
 Competed in all 11 games for the second season in a row... a backup at middle linebacker, he made one start at Washington (9/20) in place of injured Erik Pedersen... made a career-high seven tackles, including one for a loss... had a total of 20 tackles on the season... also plays on special teams... had one kick return as an upback for eight yards... named Academic All-Big Sky Conference for the second year in a row.

FRESHMAN SEASON • 2007
 Competed in all 11 games as a special teams participant and backup snapper... made three tackles on the season... named Academic All-Big Sky Conference... a redshirt in 2006.

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
 Lettered in football three times and basketball twice at Sprague High School... was named first team All-League as a tight end and linebacker... also a third team All-State tight end... was his team’s defensive MVP... Sprague won the state championship his junior season... also earned basketball team MVP award.
