Vikings' Terri Miller Jr. Garners More Post-Season Honors

Portland State's Terri Miller Jr. continues to pull in the post-season honors as he has been recognized for his talents three times in the past 24 hours. Miller, the Big Sky Conference Player of the Year, has been named a finalist for the Lou Henson Award, which is presented annually to the top player in mid-major in college basketball. Miller was also named to the NABC All-Pacific District second team and Big Sky Conference All-Tournament team.

Miller, a 6-8 senior forward for the Vikings, has had a tremendous season, averaging 19.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting over 50% from the field, 39% from three-point range and 70% from the free throw line. Miller led the Vikings to their first Big Sky Conference regular season title in 18 years. PSU reached the Big Sky Tournament semifinals before being knocked out by Montana on Tuesday. The Vikings finished at 20-11, 13-5 in Big Sky play. Miller was the league's player of the year and a first team All-Big Sky selection.

At the Big Sky Tournament, he averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists. His 31-point, 10-rebound effort against Idaho State led the Vikings to a tournament quarterfinal victory.

Miller, a native of Fresno, CA, is one of 30 players from mid-major conferences around the nation up for the Lou Henson Award. He is one of two Big Sky players on the list (Quinn Denker, Northern Colorado).

The award honors the former Illinois and New Mexico State head coach who won 775 games in 41 seasons. The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches, as well as two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com. The 2026 award will be announced in Indianapolis, IN, site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.

The NABC All-Pacific District honor is culled from all Division I basketball players competing in the states of Oregon, Washington, California and Hawai'i and voted on my coaches within the district. Only two other Big Sky players earned NABC honors (Quinn Denker, Northern Colorado, and Money Williams, Montana in the Mountain District).
