Vikings Sign Versatile, Four-Member 2026 Recruiting Class

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland State volleyball team has relied heavily on its youth during its 2025 season. That's the nature of having a talented group of freshmen on your roster, which the Vikings figure to have again in 2026 after signing a four-member recruiting class Thursday.

This year's class will add versatility to the Vikings' roster. Maryn Hall will give the Vikings a six-rotation outside hitter out of John H. Pitman High School in Turlock, Calif. Head coach Michael Seemann praised Katelyn Davey as a lefty right-side hitter out of Liberty High School in Peoria, Ariz.

Alyssandra Ordoña, from Seton Catholic College Prep in Vancouver, Wash., represents a unique player that could play in the back row or as a pin hitter for the Vikings. If she plays in the back row, she'll join fellow signee Xanthe Ocampo out of West Park High School in Roseville, Calif.

The four signees will give the Vikings a deep roster of 18 players next season. Eleven of the 18 will be freshmen or sophomores between last year's seven-member freshman class, including redshirt freshman Amber Walker, and this year's four signees.
