Football National Signing Day - Early Period

Portland State Football has signed eight high school student-athletes in the early football signing period. The 2025 signing day comes on February 5 when PSU will add more players to its 2025 roster.

The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "Juan was one of our first commits to the class of '25, and it's great to have a local guy. He is a strong, physical player up front who can play center or guard. Juan is a top shot putter and discus thrower at an elite level which shows his strength and explosiveness."

Lettered in football four years at Mountain View High School... named first team All-Greater St. Helens League offensive lineman as a senior, and a four-time All-Conference selection overall... started all four years, winning two league championships and being on three playoff teams... a three-star rated lineman... team captain... lettered three times in track and field... earned first team All-League three years... twice earned All-Region honors... Track and Field Athlete of the Year in the Greater St. Helens League... holds the school record in the shot put... team captain and team MVP... a two-time All-American Junior Olympian.
 
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Juan and Sarah Pasillas-Stanton... born April 13, 2007... has two brothers, Jonah and Noah... plans to major in Business... likes spending time with his dogs, going on drives and exploring new places.
 
Trey Kennedy-Coleman, DL, 6-2, 280, FR, HS, Medford, OR (North Medford HS)
 
The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "Trey is a physical, explosive, interior lineman. He was instrumental in helping North Medford win a state title. Trey has the ability to hold the point, yet quick as a cat and will get after the quarterback in the passing game."
 
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football at North Medford High School... made 101 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 10 sacks on the season... named first team All-South/Central Football Conference as a defensive tackle, second team All-Conference as an offensive tackle.
 
Dionte West, DB, 6-1, 195, FR, HS, Perris, CA (Orange Vista HS)
 
The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "Dionte is a versatile athlete that can play on both sides of the ball, and he is an electrifying kick returner. He has the ability to play cornerback due to his speed and safety or nickelback because of how physical he is."
 
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
A talented defensive back and receiver at Orange Vista High School... as a senior had 44 tackles, one tackle for loss and three pass breakups... also caught 16 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns... as a junior had 32 tackles, one for loss, an interception and four pass breakups... added two punt return touchdowns and one kick return touchdown... as a sophomore he made 36 tackles with two for losses, one interception, one pass breakup and two fumble recoveries.

 
Derrick Blanche Jr., RB, 5-8, 165, FR, HS, Concord, CA (De La Salle HS)
 
The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "Derrick is a winner and a hard worker. He is playing in the championship game next week against Mater Dei in California. He has rushed for over 2500 yards in his high school career and is a dynamic kid who's fun to watch."
 
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football four years at De La Salle High School in California... an All-League running back as a junior and a senior... named the team's Most Valuable Back... rushed 113 times for 986 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior... 159 carries for 969 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior... had 2,542 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns in his high school career... added 33 receptions for 410 yards and two more scores... 3,038 all-purpose yards over three seasons... team was a four-time North Coast Section Champion... also competed in track and field.
 
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Vanessa Briscoe and Derrick Blanche Sr... has three brothers, Jaxon, Jrue and Eli, and one sister, Naomi... involved in Leadership Committee and Black Student Union in high school... made the NCS CIF Presidents List Honor Roll... interested in going into Sports Management or Real Estate.
 
Kayce Tinner, LB, 6-4, 215, FR, HS, Lake Oswego, OR (Lakeridge HS)
 
The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "Kayce is a tall, long, physical athletic player from Lakeridge High School and was a leader on their defense. He has the unique skill set to play in coverage and get after the quarterback in the passing game as an edge rusher."
 
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football three times at Lakeridge High School... had 40 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks and three pass breakups as a senior... named second team All-Three Rivers League... team captain... also played basketball and competed in track and field.
 
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Musi Hill and Karl Tinner... born January 28, 2007... has three brothers, Caelen, Karl Jr., and Kurtis, and two sisters, Cassandra and Tokara... plans to major in Marketing... hobbies are fishing, basketball and spending time with family and friends.
 
Lono Solomon, DB, 5-11, 170, FR, HS, Kahuku, HI (Kahuku HS)
 
The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "Lono is an athletic safety who plays very physical. He's a Troy Polamalu-type of player without all the hair. He is very instinctual on the field and always around the ball."
 
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Played his senior season at Kahuku High School in Hawai'i... had 35 tackles, two tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and four pass breakups as a senior.... the previous three seasons attended Desert Pines HS in Las Vegas... had 89 tackles, two interceptions, three fumble recoveries and a sack in 22 games at DPHS.
 
Kayin Booker, DB, 6-2, 195, FR, HS, Newbury Park, CA (Newbury Park HS)
 
The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "A big, physical and fast defensive player who is a hybrid strong safety/linebacker. Kayin is one of the more versatile guys in this recruiting class. He can play running back, wide receiver, defensive back and linebacker very similar to Myles Jack who did all four at UCLA. We wouldn't be surprised to see him play all four in his PSU career."
 
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Lettered in football at Newbury Park High School... as a senior, he made 50 tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, two pass breakups and a forced fumble... had 654 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns on offense.
 
Zyon Floyd, DB, 5-10, 165, FR, HS, Lake Oswego, OR (Lakeridge HS)
 
The Vikings Coaching Staff says: "Zyon is one of several local kids in this class. He is a great athlete that excelled on both sides of the ball in his career at Lakeridge. He is a fast, athletic defensive back with great coverage skills."
 
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE
Played defensive back and wide receiver at Lakeridge High School... named second team All-Three Rivers League as a safety and honorable mention as a receiver and punt returner... in 23 career games made 58 tackles, three tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, an interception, four pass breakups and forced a fumble... as a receiver had 56 receptions for 802 yards and six touchdowns in his career... totaled 1,277 all-purpose yards.
