PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland State women's tennis team dropped its final dual of the weekend, 6-1 to Portland at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center on Sunday. The Vikings dropped to 4-5 while the Pilots improved to 3-2 overall.Â
The Pilots got off to a strong start, earning doubles wins at No. 2 and 3 to secure the opening point of the match.

Elizabeth Strongina pushed their Portland opponents to three sets but neither were able to come away with a victory. Rees dropped a 10-7 tiebreak at the No. 5 position, while Strongina fell 4-6, 7-5, 4-6 at No. 3 singles.
Nika Beukers grabbed the only win for PSU, doing so by opponent retirement despite holding a 6-4, 0-1 lead.Â
The Vikings will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center where they'll take on Boise State at 10 am.Â
