Jordan MacIntosh Set to Race at Canadian Cross Country Championships on Nov. 26

PORTLAND, Ore. – Don't call it a Turkey Trot – Canadian Thanksgiving was in October, anyways – but Portland State's Jordan MacIntosh will have a big race over Thanksgiving weekend. For the second straight year, MacIntosh will race at the Canadian Cross Country Championships, which will take place at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility and Mooney's Bay in Ottawa, Ontario.

MacIntosh will race in the open men's 10k. The field features two runners who competed for Canada at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics between Lucas Bruchet (5,000 meters) and John Gay (steeplechase). Gay also competed for Canada at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene this past summer.

MacIntosh ran at the 2021 version of the meet, placing 18th overall. Gay won the race last season, while Bruchet was fourth. Charles Philibert-Thiboutot and Cameron Proceviat – both World Athletics Championships qualifiers this past summer – placed second and third between the two. Andrew Alexander, a recent graduate of Notre Dame – rounded out last season's top five at fifth overall.

This year's meet will be at a different course. The men's open 10k will be the third of nine races on the day and will start at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET.

More information about the meet can be found here.
