Four members of the 2017 Portland State football team have signed rookie free agent contracts with NFL teams following last weekend's professional draft.
Defensive end Davond Dade has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 6-3, 260-pound Dade was a four-year letterwinner with the Vikings compiling over 100 career tackles and 10 sacks.
Another four-year letterwinner, Randin Crecelius, has signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Crecelius, a 6-5, 305-pound offensive tackle, was a three-year starter and third team All-Big Sky Conference in 2016. His senior season was cut short by injury.
Cornerback Chris Seisay has signed with the Green Bay Packers. Injuries slowed Seisay in 2017, but in 15 total games at defensive back in two seasons, he had four interceptions and 13 pass breakups.
Also signing was cornerback Donovan Olumba, who is now with the Dallas Cowboys. The 6-2, 195-pounder played only one season, but was a full-time starter, making 21 tackles and seven pass breakups.
The Viking program had six players on NFL rosters last season: Julius Thomas (Miami), DeShawn Shead (Seattle, now with Detroit), Patrick Onwuasor (Baltimore), Kameron Canaday (Pittsburgh), Xavier Coleman (NY Jets) and Cornelius Edison (Minnesota Vikings).
