TUCSON, Ariz. – Portland State kept the game close in the first half but dropped its final non-conference game of the season, 75-52, to the Arizona Wildcats Tuesday night in Tucson, Ariz.

Rielly was the only Viking in double figures on the night. Sophomore guards Ashley Bolston and Michaela Kay each added nine points in the game.

The Vikings (6-6 overall) shot .381 (16-for-42) from the floor in the game, going 4-for-15 from three-point range. They had opportunities to cut further into the lead at the line in the fourth quarter but were unable to take advantage, going 16-for-27 at the line for the game.

Arizona (9-2) shot .500 (32-64) from the floor and .533 (8-for-15) from three-point range. Arizona turned 23 Portland State turnovers into 28 points in the game.

The Vikings fell behind 12-6 midway through the first quarter before going on an 8-2 run to tie the game at 14-14 at the end of the first.

Kay hit a three-pointer with 6:43 left in the first half to give the Vikings a 19-16 lead. Arizona scored seven straight before a jumper by Courtney West ended the run. The Wildcats added five points at the end of the half to go up 28-21. West finished the game with two points, a team-high seven rebounds, and four blocks.

After a low-scoring first half, points started to come in the second half. Arizona jumped out to its first double-digit lead (38-24) of the game following an 8-0 run. After trading baskets, the Wildcats went on another 9-0 run to go up 21 at 49-28.
