OGDEN, Utah
– A depleted Portland State roster struggled at Weber State Thursday morning, falling, 102-73, to the Wildcats in Ogden, Utah.

Fellow freshman G Corey James added 14 points in the game for Portland State, doing much of her damage at the free-throw line. She went 8-for-9 from the line in the game and improved her season free-throw percentage to .927, which leads the Big Sky.

The Vikings hit their first three shots and held a 7-5 lead over the Wildcats. Portland State cooled off, going 3-for-20 on their next 23 shots as Weber State built up a double-digit lead. Weber State led 28-14 after the first period and 54-30 at the break.

After a slow start to the game in the first half, the Vikings found their legs and got things working in the second half. Portland State was outscored by 24 points in the first half but was only only outscored by five points in the second half as they shot 46.7 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes.

The early deficit was just too much for the Vikings as they fell by the final 29-point margin. The Vikings have now allowed over 100 points in three out of their four Big Sky games this season.

Weber State's Regina Okoye scored a game-high 28 points with 10 rebounds to lead the Wildcats. WSU had a total of four players who scored in double-figures for the game.
