Jenna Mullen each tallied double-digit kills, but the Vikings fell to Idaho State Thursday night at the Peter W. Stott Center. The Bengals took the match by scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-19.

Anae led the Vikings with 11 kills, while hitting .219 (11-4-32) for the match. She added four blocks, including one solo, and nine digs, one shy of her 10th double-double of the season. Mullen added 10 kills of her own along with a pair of blocks and a service ace.

The first set was the closest with 13 ties and seven lead changes. Idaho State went up by four points at 20-16 before three-straight points by the Vikings pulled them within one at 20-19. After a service error ended PSU's run, the teams traded points to 23-22 in favor of the Bengals. Back-to-back ISU kills gave the Bengals the 25-22 win in the opening frame.

The Bengals jumped out to a quick 7-1 lead in the second. They maintained their lead, going up by as much as six points a couple times, before the Vikings started to cut into the lead. Down 20-16, PSU scored three-straight to pull within one at 20-19. A service error again ended the Vikings run. The Vikings kept close but ISU closed out the second set, again 25-22, to go up two sets to none.

Idaho State got out to an early 4-1 lead again in the third set. The Bengals increased their lead to seven points at 17-10, forcing a Portland State timeout. The Vikings cut into the lead again, but could not overcome the deficit and fell 25-19 in the third. Â

The Bengals out-hit the Vikings .241-to-.145 in the match and recorded seven service aces, compared to the Vikings' three.

ISU's Tressa Lyman tallied a match-high 12 kills. She added 12 digs for the match's lone double-double.

Idaho State improved to 19-8 overall and 11-2 in Big Sky Conference play while Portland State fell to 7-18 and 3-10.

Portland State hosts Weber State Saturday, November 7 at the Stott Center for its final home game of the season. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
