PRINCETON, N.J. – The Portland State women's basketball team's longest road trip of the season did not get off on the right foot as the Vikings fell, 104-33, to the Princeton Tigers in Princeton, N.J. Friday afternoon.

Portland State struggled from the floor shooting just 24.0 percent from the floor compared to 58.1 percent by Princeton. The Tigers jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in the first half and the route was on.

Princeton extended its lead and led 57-17 at the break. The second half was much of the same as the Tigers extended their lead to the final margin of 71. The Tigers out-scored the Vikings 54-6 in the paint, 39-2 off turnovers, 22-4 on second-chance points, and 22-0 on fast break points.

Mikaela Rivard scored a team-high 10 points for the Vikings going 5-for-17 from the floor. She added three rebounds in 35 minutes. Sophomore G
Lauren Holt added seven points for the Vikings along with seven turnovers. The Vikings turned the ball over a season-high 30 times.

Princeton had four players in double-figures led by Annie Tarakchian's 16 points. She added 11 rebounds for the game's only double-double.

Portland State will play its final non-conference game of the season Sunday, Dec. 21 at Columbia University. Tip is slated for 9 a.m. PT.
