For the first time since the first week of the 2007 football season, the Portland State Vikings find themselves in the nation's Top 25 polls. PSU comes in at 25th this week in The Sports Network Media Poll.
The Vikings have a four-game winning streak and have improved to 7-3 on the season, 5-2 in the Big Sky Conference. If PSU can win its season finale this Saturday against Weber State, at 8-3 the Vikings would get consideration for the NCAA Division I playoffs. The 20-team tournament selections will be announced on Sunday morning.
Portland State and Weber State meet this Saturday at JELD-WEN Field at 1:05 p.m. The game can be heard on Freedom 970 AM and www.freedom970.com. A live video stream is available at www.b2tv.com. Ticket specials include $7 general admission and $12 reserved seat tickets. Call 1-888-VIK-TIKS or purchase at any TicketMaster outlet.
